Mission Resource Hub (MRH) Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for Social Media Platforms

1. Introduction

Welcome to our social media platforms. These Terms of Use govern your interaction with our online presence, which is managed by MRH. We are committed to ensuring a safe and uplifting environment in alignment with Christian values and South African legal standards, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging with our social media platforms, you agree to abide by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using our platforms.

3. Community Guidelines

To foster a respectful and Christian-centered community, users must adhere to the following:

  • Respectful Conduct: Refrain from offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory language.
  • No Hate Speech or Harassment: Content that promotes hate speech, violence, or harassment will not be tolerated.
  • No False Information: Misinformation, deceptive content, or unauthorized use of copyrighted material is prohibited.
  • Faith-Based Content: Content should align with our Christian mission and values.
  • No Unauthorized Promotions: Advertising, spam, or any solicitation, especially for funding online or privately, without permission is not allowed. Breaching of above will result in immediate removal from the community and the MRH.
  • Solicitation for funding from any member of the MRH, online or privately without permission from the MRH admin is strictly forbidden. Breaching of above will result in immediate removal from the community and the MRH.

4. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the content you post and its compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • You grant MRH a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, or distribute your public posts in line with our mission.
  • You must not attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the security of our social media accounts.

5. Privacy and Protection of Personal Information

We value your privacy and comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Our data practices include:

  • Collection of Information: We collect information that you voluntarily provide (e.g., comments, messages) and technical data such as cookies and analytics.
  • Use of Information: We use your data to improve engagement, respond to inquiries, and communicate ministry updates.
  • Protection Measures: We implement appropriate security measures to safeguard personal information.
  • Sharing of Data: We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties without consent, except where legally required.
  • Children’s Privacy: We do not knowingly collect data from minors without parental consent.

6. Copyright and Intellectual Property

  • All content shared by MRH is protected by applicable copyright laws. Users may share our content strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given.
  • If you believe any content on our platform infringes upon copyright laws, please contact us immediately for review and resolution.
  • Any resource contributed to the MRH platform by an individual or organization will be made available for distribution by MRH. However, the original creator’s branding, copyright notice, and associated trademarks will remain intact and must not be altered or removed.

  • The views expressed by users do not necessarily reflect the views of MRH.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of information posted by third parties.
  • It is the third party’s or member’s responsibility to verify any comments or content posted by an individual, organization, church, business group, and the MRH shall not be liable to any legal entity of individual that might file a case of mis or damaging information against any of the mentioned parties.
  • The MRH do to take any legal responsibility for any content posted by any third party where the MRH or any of its staff are not the original contributors or authors.
  • We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access to individuals who violate these terms.
  • Third parties take full legal responsibility for any legal cases against them if anyone opens a legal case against them for infringing the rights or safety of any members or non–members.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy as needed. Continued use of our platforms constitutes acceptance of any changes.
